Disney’s Boardwalk Resort Gingerbread Display 2017 Photos and Video (w/Merchandise and Treats)

Hi everyone!

The Walt Disney World Boardwalk Resort created a version of itself for its 2017 Gingerbread Display – at least the restaurants of the resort. This is at least the 5th major change in the display since I started photographing it in 2007. There used to be a gingerbread fireplace with characters including Donald, Daisy, Stitch, Chip and Dale (depending on the year as to which characters there were). The last few years have seen a variety of different ideas, in 2016 there were smaller houses. This display was much more than I expected for 2017, a nice suprise.

The Boardwalk Bakery is the predominant building here, although it isn’t to scale compared with the other locations.

The Flying Fish restaurant is at one end. It is hard to believe, but I haven’t dined at the real one in about 20 years.

Trattoria al Forno, which is the newest restaurant in what used to be the Spoodles and then Cat Cora’s Kouzzina location.

The ESPN Club is at the other end, with the familiar hand and barbell on top.

There are also treats and merchandise for sale next to the display.

The mug and ornament don’t actually show the actual gingerbread display, but they are still very nice and I like resort specific merchandise.

Guests can be part of a Gingerbread Academy, $125 for up to 4 guests.

As always, there is a Christmas tree on the lawn outside.

There is a lot to see this year around Crescent Lake this year, so definitely check the Epcot resorts out during your holiday visit!
