Candelabras Add a Touch of Elegance to Be Our Guest Restaurant Visit at Walt Disney World

Hi everyone!

Jeff and a friend walked into Be Our Guest Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom last night for dinner, and found a couple of very recent changes!

I wish I’d had a chance to go with them, but I flew into Washington D.C. very early this morning to see my dad accept an award.

Jeff and our friend did not have a reservation for Be Our Guest Restaurant, but only waited about 10 minutes. It was around 9:00 p.m. on what was a very busy day. Never give up on Be Our Guest, it’s always worth at least stopping by and seeing if a walk-up can be accepted – especially in the evening near restaurant closing (but always have a backup plan). Personally, I think it's one of the better values for dinner at the Magic Kingdom.

When the table was ready last night, something new appeared – a candelabra. A few days ago, Cast Members started using candelabras to escort guests to their tables, but yesterday guests started carrying the candelabras themselves. Apparently it's been quite popular already! Jeff says it adds an extra bit of enchantment to the experience, and our friend said it reminded him of Maurice holding Lumiere. Jeff posted a video of the candelabra, though not on the way to their table because they were seated so close to the entrance.

I thought maybe the candelabra would help light the menus too, but the servers take them away after guests are seated.

Cast Members shared some Hidden Mickeys with them that I've not seen.

The Rose Gallery was also open for dinner last night.

Check out our dinner review from November!

Have you been to Be Our Guest Restaurant? We've had several great experiences so far. We found lunch just so-so, but our dinner experiences have been outstanding.
