Magic Kingdom Photo Update Including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – January 9th, 2014

Hi everyone!

We spent the day at the Magic Kingdom for Jeff’s birthday, as we do every year.

The “Let the Memories Begin” sign is now gone from in front of the Magic Kingdom! We liked the sign for the first year or so, but it had been up for 3 years – much longer than the promotion ran. It is nice to see Mickey’s face without anything else around it now.

Here is our video of the front entrance!

The Jingle Cruise was gone, but not forgotten in this poster.

The trolley show had become a fire engine show for the day. I liked it better, because it allowed for better views of Cinderella Castle as well as the performers.

Jeff was offered a seat in the fire engine for his birthday. It was very nice of the Cast Members to offer that!

A new shirt in the Main Street Emporium.

The most popular photo on my Instagram that I posted from the day was this one – Mickey Mouse with a monorail door sign, it costs about $12.00.

The “It’s a Jungle in Here” sign was also popular. Phineas, Ferb and Candace are enjoying the back side of water.

Casey’s Corner was closed.

There is a wall in the Casey’s Corner/Crystal Palace area.

The outside of Casey’s Corner.

A wall is up around what was a planter in Tomorrowland.

It is that time of year again, when refurbishments start. The Tomorrowland Speedway was closed, with painting of the logo on the track.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train construction from the People Mover.

Splash Mountain is also down for it’s yearly maintenance.

This was the first time we’ve seen the Tony Baxter portrait back in Big Thunder Mountain – this time, well out of the reach of guests.

There wasn’t much room to view the pre-show at the Enchanted Tiki Room, two of the queue lines were behind a wall. We waited in a line outside the attraction.

A wall in Liberty Square.

This is one of my new favorite items – the roast beef sandwich in Liberty Square (in the market). There are potatoes and corn on the cob there too, making for a nice meal to split between the two of us.

A look from Pinchocchio’s Village Haus of the seating area, fountain and Cinderella Castle.

Jiminy Cricket has a slush.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train should be just 3 or 4 months from opening if still on track for a spring debut. No date has been announced.

The Friar’s Nook was closed, but has new Macaroni and Cheese specialty dishes.

Walking past the front of the Tomorrowland Speedway.

We stopped by the Incredibles Super Dance Party. I am not sure I’d call it “super”, but it was popular. Mr. Incredible danced Gangnam Style, which is something I’ve not seen before.

We have an full update on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train here. While we were walking through Fantasyland, I noticed the cars on the track.

Here is our Seven Dwarfs Mine Train video!

Christmas was mostly gone in the Magic Kingdom, but the celebration continued on Center Street.

We enjoyed some fireworks in front of the Main Street Train Station!

We talk about our Magic Kingdom day, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train along with Camp Minnie-Mickey closing on Mousesteps Weekly #84!

It was a nice day at the Magic Kingdom, and we look forward to the Mine Train opening (and the Festival of Fantasy Parade, also this spring).
