Epcot Starts Installing Flower Quilt for Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival; More Epcot Pictures From Today
Thank you to our friend Axel (Curious Axel on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram) for sending along some Epcot photos from today. I have been wanting to get over to the park for days, but it will still be Thursday before we are back in Epcot. I am very excited to see the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival flower quilt now being installed - that festival is my favorite and we will be sharing it with you for our 12th year! I always head to Epcot more often in the few weeks prior to it as flower and topiaries are added. Plus, Axel sent us some more pics - artwork for the continuing Epcot International Festival of the Arts and new Walt Disney World Annual Passholder shirts.
Here is the Epcot Flower quilt as the shapes are drawn in - grass has been removed and it won't be long until flowers are growing. This usually starts a few weeks before the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, and we are right on time with that as it begins February 28th, 2018.
One of my favorite locations to visit during the Festival is over by the former Universe of Energy pavilion. The artwork here keeps getting more wonderful - not only are some of the guest murals (from the paint-by-number Expression Section) added here, but also more artwork is appearing. I look forward to seeing more of this in person on Thursday! For kids, there is also a chalk area on the ground where they can express themselves.
Donald Duck has been added.
One of the murals plus a postcard that is from this week's mural.
I had seen the Meet the Robinsons one on the day it was created. The goal here is for the chalk artwork to last a couple of weeks, but with the rain that hasn't been possible yet. No matter what, there is new art every day!
Pleakley can be seen here in chalk art.
Here is a closer look at this week's postcard with the mural behind it.
And here are two WDW Passholder shirts - one would be unisex (mens, but I prefer this style for me), and one for women.
Here is the back of the shirts.
And the prices. The more expensive one is the womens shirt.
And one last look at Epcot, with a White Chocolate and Purple Sweet Potato Mousse, Salted Caramel and Maple Meringue with Coconut from the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
Thanks to Axel for the great photos!
