Sum of All Thrills by Raytheon 10/13

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I was able to ride The Sum of All Thrills twice (in Innoventions East – I finally figured out how to differentiate the East part because of the Electric Umbrella – both start with E).   The attraction is fun, but a heads up – the line can move very slowly (they are hoping to put 194 guests through an hour but it's not yet close to that) and not every body shape can ride.  It is possible to be too large or too tall, the seat felt snug for me and I don't normally have issues with that.  We do have 5 videos as well!

The first line you will get to will head into the briefing room, which then lets out into the design room, and then there is a line after that.  It was a 15 minute or more wait once the ride was designed to experience the ride itself.

 

 

A tester seat, where you can make sure you can fit on the simulator ride.  Even some cast members said they'd been surprised that height was an issue for some guests.

 

 

The briefing room, where guests learn how to design their ride.  This attraction is similar to Cyberspace Mountain at DisneyQuest, but I did find part of the design process confusing, and it shows in the video we took of me doing it. The movie inside the briefing room (which I also took video of) shows how to design the attraction. There is a designated number for each party designing their ride – and then the design area you go to from the briefing will have that same number.

 

 

 

 

The design lab, where you get a certain amount of time to design your ride.  There is a choice between a roller coaster, bobsled and a fighter jet.  I did find out that a bobsled did not go in loops, even when you want to design it yourself :), so we ended up getting a fighter jet pre-selected design with 5 loops from the cast member before boarding the ride.
