Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

1/6 Magic Kingdom, Epcot Construction and More Update

Hi everyone!

It’s been a busy week at Walt Disney World, it’s interesting to see all the changes from day to day.  We’ve had an extended spell of cold weather (lows in the 20’s) this past week as well.

At the Contemporary Resort, you can see the plants covered:

At Disney’s Polynesian Resort, the pool slide was not open and no lifeguards were on duty:

Amidst full Christmas decor, some Emporium windows were now showing the first signs of spring:

There has been a lot of landscaping work going on at the Four Seasons:

Over by the Port Orleans Riverside resort, there is a new pet resort going up – it’s called “Best Friends Pet Resort”.  I had originally read (and wrote) that this area was also part of the Four Seasons, but it isn’t.

At the Port Orleans French Quarter, some minor work and I’d not noticed the Princess and the Frog emblems on the garland before:

Topiaries are now gone from Epcot:

The La Cantina De San Angel restaurant at the Mexican pavilion is now shuttered and the work will continue into the fall:

The Tequila bar has a few different items on the menu since when it had opened last year:

Somehow we had missed going into Mexico when taking Christmas photos.  It really is beautifully decorated (one photos of a cute Donald Duck piniata is thrown in as well):

Next to Tutto Italia, a quick-service pizza restaurant is being built.  I remember when Tutto Italia was only meant as a temporary restaurant itself, it looks like it’s now permanent. :):

Some characters we never really see at Epcot were walking by us, and a cast member told us they were out as a “surprise”.

The American Gardens Theater is now bare:

And it’s been months since we’ve seen the Egyptian Goose, but he was at Epcot (where I’ve normally seen him, except for once at the Grand Floridian).  It is also the season for having tons of seagulls, so be careful if you are eating (take it inside!)  The seagulls are really aggressive, I had two items attacked a couple of years back within a weeks time.

Thanks for visiting, I am looking forward to another visit to the parks today – we have a high of like 58, which is very warm for this week. 🙂
