5/29/10 C3PO Interactive Character at Star Wars Weekends

Hi everyone!

* Update 5/31 - we have more C3PO and Star Wars Weekend photos here!

While waiting for the Hyperspace Hoopla yesterday, there was quite a stir when C3P0 walked by (talking!)

Here are the first few CP3O pics I took yesterday - this was his first day out, and you'll find more later on this update as well from today.  We also have some very cool video!   As of 5/31st we have new video of us asking him whether he'll be at upcoming Star Wars Weekends and if he'd be at Celebration V!  You can see what kind of crowd he draws in that one as well, and get a variety of views of him walking and talking to guests.  I hope you enjoy both videos!

Here are a handful of other photos from yesterday, I didn't make it over to the Studios until just before the Hyperspace Hoopla.  Thank you to Jeff at JeffLangeDVD for taking the photos and video we have from during the day!

And with Tom Kane, the voice of Yoda for the last 10-15 years (although as noted from a reader, not in the films - but in videos, The Clone Wars, and more).

Today we went back to Star Wars Weekends to get some video and more photos - it was harder to get C3PO because he was inside due to rain (we waited in line and met him inside, but would have liked a few more photos and videos of him walking to and from his area).  He is interactive, and will ask questions and will answer questions.  We learned quite a bit about him, suffice to say he is not Disney owned/created and not from Lucas Film either.  We've heard that he may be at all 3 weekends, but there is conflict over that - so check him out this weekend if you can. I took a few other photos too, including of the crowd, Jeremy Bulloch and then Tom Kane arriving at the meet-and-greet area under an umbrella. The normal greeting area is near Star Tours (C3PO has been in a couple of locations already, so ask a cast member for more info).

Yoda's Voice

Just for clarification, Frank Oz was the voice of Yoda in all six live action films, while Tom Kane did the voice of Yoda for the Clone wars series and movie.
