7/3 Flynn Rider’s Last Day with Rapunzel at the Magic Kingdom Tangled Play & Greet

Hi everyone –

Yesterday we went to the last Tangled Play & Greet that included Flynn Rider. Just over a week ago, I was going to write up an article that mentioned how tremendously popular he is at the park. Instead, I'm writing an article on his last day.

I've spent more time at Meet & Greets in the last couple of years than I expect I have in the last 35 years of regular visits to Walt Disney World. The Tangled Play & Greet at the Magic Kingdom has been the best character experience I've ever seen in any of the Disney parks. On the flip side, it's also the one that allows for the fewest guests to be part of it. In my opinion, removing Flynn Rider wasn't the answer.  We know how popular Flynn and Rapunzel are from our YouTube videos – with over 200,000 views from just 4 videos. Comments are as positive for Flynn as they are for Rapunzel. We first saw Flynn and Rapunzel at Epcot, where they temporarily did a Meet & Greet before the film came out. Then we covered one of their first Magic Kingdom Play & Greets. In my opinion, Disney should have added a second Flynn and Rapunzel meet at Epcot, not taken away Flynn at the Magic Kingdom. Guests really love meeting him and the banter between Flynn and Rapunzel has been fun and playful, as you can see in our videos

We waited 2 hours yesterday to go to the Play & Greet. It was time well spent. At the last minute, we were told we could go into the 5pm show (it would have saved us an hour), but we decided to wait for the final Play & Greet time.

From our place in line after moving up, I could see Rapunzel and Flynn Rider through the trees:
