2/11 Flynn Rider & Rapunzel Help Kick Off Limited Time Magic True Love Week at Magic Kingdom

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share some photos and video from "True Love Week" at the Magic Kingdom today. Flynn Rider & Rapunzel helped kick it off, as princes were back at the side of their princesses for this week. Mary Poppins and Bert also met guests together, which is unusual at Walt Disney World!

Personally, I think this week should be called "Long Lost Princes Week", since that was the best part of today! The princes are as popular as the princesses.

Before I share photos, I wanted to mention that there wasn't any new themed merchandise, or Main Street decorations…nor did we see any special food. Primarily this day was about characters – our readers and YouTube viewers always seem to enjoy the characters, and so do we.

There are banners at the entrance for True Love Week, and they include a Hidden Mickey (and Jeff in the foreground in the first picture!)

Our first stop was to see Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. I believe they are still out together after the parade each day, but not before that. They were very talkative, and apparently "three red headed boys" ran off with the beignets – I love the combination of Brave and The Princess and the Frog! You can see that in our video of all the characters .

There were projections as we waited to meet the princesses with their princes inside Town Square Theater. The wait was as long as 95 minutes today! We waited about 10 -15 minutes with our Fastpasses. Usually there are just three princesses here without their princes.

A first look at Princess Aurora from where we were standing:

We first met Flynn Rider and Rapunzel. He remembered us from last year, when we videotaped his last day – Cast Member friends got together to send him off, and they were very kind to let us be part of it. He was a lot of fun to see again, and did a great smolder for us! Flynn Rider showed us the autograph cards – instead of the attendants hanging them out here, the princes and princesses did. It was a nice touch! Unfortunately, the characters aren't supposed to sign autographs. I think there should be an exception made for face characters, since so many kids get autograph books. But the souvenir cards are really nice too.

I don't know if I've ever met Prince Phillip with Princess Aurora:

Cinderella and Prince Charming were the last couple we met here:

Heading into the Rose Garden, I tried to get a few shots of the roses with Cinderella Castle in back (without getting too much of the crane). The colors of the flowers in the hanging planters were beautiful, but the flowers were wilting.

Remember to check out our video of all the characters! We did miss Snow White and her prince, but we'll meet them later this week.

We really enjoyed getting to meet so many characters that aren't normally out! I hope there is more in store for True Love Week, we'll be back at the Magic Kingdom on Thursday.
