Kings Bowl Orlando Adds New Menu Items to Already Extensive Offerings

Hi everyone!

We were invited to Kings Bowl Orlando to try some new menu items, including a couple of healthier options. Kings Orlando is located on International Drive, just steps from what will be the Orlando Eye complex next year. It is also within a mile or so of the Orange County Convention Center.

Kings Orlando recently celebrated one year in business, and offers both an extensive menu as well as evening events. Currently they have been holding Kings Karaoke Idol each Thursday, and there are drink, bowling and appetizer specials during the week. Check the Kings Orlando website for more information! Menu items we didn’t try include speciality pizzas (there are about 10), the Steak Tips, which is one of their most popular items, and most of the 10+ sandwiches on the menu. I did say extensive, didn’t I? There is something for nearly everyone here.

We enjoyed our tasting (and a little bowling) in the King Pin Room. This is a terrific venue for private groups, and includes 4 private lanes.

We tried a variety of cocktails – we’ve always had excellent drinks here. The tall one is called “The Dude” and includes Kahlua, Chocolate Vodka, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur and Milk. Yes, it is as decadent as it sounds!

Our first sample was of the Bacon Cheddar Tots with Spicy Sour Cream. These were popular with everyone.

This was by far the favorite new item, the Apple Raisin Chicken Salad Sandwich. This is a delicious option, and can be served on whole grain bread. The apple and raisin just really brought out the flavor.

The Mac & Cheese Burger and Greek Burger are both juicy and tasty. Burgers are still “king” at Kings Bowl, for guests who aren’t looking for anything fancy. The Greek Burger includes Feta, Red Pepper Hummus, Lettuce, Tomato and Tzatziki Sauce. The Mac & Cheese Burger includes Melted Cheddar & Marinated Griddled Tomatoes with Fried Mac & Cheese Bites and topped with Sun-Dried Tomato Ailoli. That is a mouthful! There are 10 specialty burgers at Kings Orlando, or guests can order just a classic one!

I don’t eat seafood, but Jeff enjoyed the Grilled Shrimp Sandwich (though his favorite items were the Honey Habenero Wings and Apple Raisin Chicken Salad Sandwich).

I also tried a yummy drink called “The Shag”, with Light, Spiced & Coconut Rums, Pina Colada Mix, Orange, Cranberry & Pineapple Juices.

Kings also has 6 specialty salads, in addition to side salads. Guests looking for something healthy can choose a Kale and Cranberry Salad.

Kings also now has Whole Wheat Fettucini. I cook with whole wheat pasta at home, and enjoyed this entree – but found it slightly bland compared with the other offerings.

This was Jeff’s other favorite, the Honey Habenero Wings. There are other wing options as well!

This was my first time bowling since I broke my ankle in April. It took a long time to heal, but it was fun to finally roll some balls.

Dessert was brought out, the Oreo S’mores Brownie Sundae with Vanilla Ice Cream (from Working Cow). We do recommend it!

Kings Bowl Orlando is located at 8255 South International Drive, Suite 120 Orlando, FL 32819.  It includes:

  • 22 Ten Pin Bowling Lanes
  • Four Full-Size billiards tables
  • Regulation size, outdoor Bocce ball court
  • Killerspin Ping Pong Table

I mentioned earlier that the Orlando Eye will be next door, we stopped for a few quick photos, including this one. While this area of International Drive has a lot of visitors already, I can’t even imagine how big of a draw it will be once the Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE Aquarium arrive. And Kings Bowl is within a few minutes walk! You can find menus (with prices, including the drink menu), a FAQ, and other information about Kings Orlando here. We look forward to heading back in a few weeks on our own for some bowling and lunch!
