SeaWorld Orlando has added a new experience to a roller coaster that has delighted guests since 2000. Kraken Unleashed the new name of the ride that used to only go by Kraken, offering a completely new way to experience the attraction. Jeff and I were supposed to ride Kraken Unleashed during a media event last week, but a delayed flight scuttled those plans. Thanks to Dave Drumheller and his son Chris from WDW Guided Tours for stepping in for us! They provided us with a few photos, thoughts and are in our video of the attraction (a combination of reverse POV and footage provided us from SeaWorld with a full POV). And before sharing those, I just wanted to answer the first question I had - you can ride the roller coaster normally as well. The VR headsets are available but you don't have to use them.
SeaWorld Orlando's All-New Seven Seas Food Festival Brings Headline Entertainment (Including Styx and Lynyrd Skynyrd) to Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando is offering a new festival this year, the Seven Seas Food Festival. Instead of Bands, Brew & BBQ and Viva la Musica, this event takes place over 14 Saturdays with 14 live musical acts, 60 unique food items and 55 local and international craft beers. The music includes Styx, ZZ Top, Olga Tanon and Village People. As passholders, we look forward to this festival, which has already been a hit in other SeaWorld parks. Here is more information!
SeaWorld Orlando's Christmas Celebration Includes Rudolph & Friends, Sea of Trees and Much More (Photos, Video)
SeaWorld Orlando's Christmas Celebration is now underway, and we had the opportunity to meet with the Rudolph characters (new this year!) and enjoy Sea of Trees and some other entertainment. SeaWorld is my favorite park for Christmas in the Orlando area and we look forward to taking it all in this weekend. Here is a look at just a small part of what is available for Christmas this year! The press release is under our photos and video, and outlines everything - from O Wondrous Night, to Winter Wonderland on Ice and Rudolph's Christmastown. There is a lot to see and do at SeaWorld, but it isn't every day (holiday events take place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays November 25 through December 11 and then run daily December 16 through 31).
The first bottlenose dolphin born at Discovery Cove has turned 16! It is hard to believe the park has reached that milestone, we've been a few times and it is such a unique place to spend the day. And through August 14th, 2016 you can enter to win a Sweet 16 sweepstakes package! Keep reading for more information below.
ORLANDO, Fla. (August 8, 2016) — It's been a sweet summer for Coral – the very first bottlenose dolphin born at Discovery Cove - who is celebrating her 16th birthday this year. The eight-foot, 450-pound dolphin is celebrating with her favorites: pink gelatin, boomer balls and extra rub downs from her trainers.
Like Coral, Discovery Cove is also celebrating its 16th birthday this summer with a Sweet 16 sweepstakes. A lucky winner and 15 friends will get a special day at the park, including an in-water swim with Coral or one of her friends, plus airfare, hotel accommodations and transportation. Learn more and enter to win through August 14 at discoverycove.com/sweet1
Island Nights is returning to Aquatica beginning tomorrow (Friday, July 7th, 2016), and will be running on Friday and Saturday nights through August 6th. The fun includes an evening party, drink specials and extended hours! Keep reading for more information in the press release below. Aquatica is my favorite water park (mostly due to the Roa's Rapids attraction).
