Mickey's Not-So-Scary 2013 Halloween Party Photos - 150 Pictures at Magic Kingdom w/Video
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party debuted last night! Heavy on character interactions and lighter on theming than in previous years, the Party is always a highlight for us. We arrived at just before 4:00 p.m., and entered the Magic Kingdom with our Party ticket. I always recommend arriving at 4:00 p.m.! It's hard to believe we've been covering the Party now for 7 years.
I have 150 photos posted from the Party over 2 pages. You can see our 2012 photos here. Thanks to Jeff for taking such great video for us, as always! I also just posted an article with tips on enjoying the 2013 Party here.
We also recorded our Mousesteps Weekly #69, where we talk about Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2013!
I didn't find any Party merchandise at the Emporium, which is the only place I looked for it. I was told that there were a few t-shirts, but I didn't look in any other shops.
Trick-or Treating is available for all! I didn't take candy photos, we didn't spend much time at the trick-or-treat stations - but there are a variety of candies (including Twix, Tootsie Rolls and Snickers), and the Enchanted Tiki Room location also featured Craisins.
The right-hand side turnstiles are always set aside for Party guests, who receive wristbands.
Princess Fairytale Hall is just days away from opening, and I took a few photos to share!
At Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, Ichabod Crane pumpkins were out. Unfortunately, much of the theming around the park was absent on Tuesday night, I hope Disney will add the Splash Mountain pumpkins and other treat trail decorations that make the Party special. There is quite a bit of themed lighting around the Magic Kingdom during the Party.
The character statues in the hub are back.

Guests can walk through the Enchanted Tiki Room for treats this year.
The Enchanted Tiki Room didn't allow for entrance right away, as day guests were still in the park at 7:00 p.m. Candy was handed out outside for a bit, and the inside.
I was asked by several Twitter followers if I could post about the popcorn bucket - Hatbox Ghost Mickey Mouse! We bought one too. The Hatbox Mickey is $12.00 and is filled with popcorn.
We picked up our special Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card, which was being handed out early. Check at the Main Street Fire Station when you arrive to the park for this special souvenir! It's free with your Party ticket, but we were told that a limited quantity were being handed out each day.
Drizella, Anastasia and Lady Tremaine spent the evening interacting with guests in Town Square. I love the walk-around aspect of it!
The above photo was taken while we were in line for Jack Skellington and Sally, who debuted this year at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This is a great meet & greet! I don't recommend getting in line too early, as we did. We got in line at 6:30 p.m., not realizing that Jack and Sally would arrive at 7:30 p.m. We waited for 2 hours total. On the other hand, just before the end of the first parade, I walked by the line for Jack and Sally and it was maybe a 15 minute wait. The area is nicely themed and we always enjoy meeting Jack and Sally!
Here is our video of Jack and Sally:
My Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade photos are a little light this year, since my Canon Rebel is having issues. I have better ones from a different location later on in the article, but I wanted to share the nice area for photos that I was able to snag last-minute during the first parade.

Here is a photo I posted to Instagram of the Jack & Sally meet and greet line at the tail end of the first parade. I can't guarantee that it will always be this way, but it was really short compared with any other time I saw. This was just as the parade ended, and the line got longer quickly after the end.
We went back to the Enchanted Tiki Room, which has some nice lighting inside.
I was trying to figure out a place to take photos during Wishes, and noticed how terrific "Celebrate the Magic" looks from the Liberty Square bridge!
Happy HalloWishes is always fun to watch!
Lots-o'-Huggin Bear (Lotso) was meeting in the Town Square area, near the Fastpass machines for Town Square Theater.

Mickey and Minnie dressed in their Halloween finest! We waited for about 5 minutes at 10:00 p.m.

After meeting Mickey and Minnie, we found Jafar outside of Town Square Theater.

I do always love special lighting on Cinderella Castle.
