Jeff Lange (of partner site JeffLangeDVD.com) wanted to share some of his really cool Adventurers Club collectibles from the early 90's with Mousesteps readers! Eventually he plans to locate the rest of his collection, which includes pins and other items from when the Club sold merchandise. I didn't make it to Pleasure Island until the late 90's, so it's fun to see what I missed.
A schedule from the early days of the Club, before the Hoopla:
Business cards for some of the Club characters:
Jim Hill did a story on these following envelopes/letters on his site. Jeff also has a short writeup on his front page. For those who weren't there for the early days of the Club, Graves (the AC butler) would come around with a tray that included some envelopes. Graves would inform the guests that he'd been collecting mail in their absence. He would lower the tray, for the guest to take one of the letters.
I hope Jeff will have more to share soon! (maybe some old photos as well). I will miss the Adventurers Club – I didn't go as often as I could have, but it really is Disney storytelling at it's finest. Even moreso in the early years, it seems!
