Epcot New Years Eve 2008 and Nova Era at Downtown Disney
Hi everyone –
I went to Epcot for New Years Eve, though I left around 9:00pm (too much techno-loud music for me), and went to Downtown Disney. I didn’t know what I’d find, but I was happy to discover Nova Era there! It was the New Years Eve entertainment I was really wanting.
Hats and horns were available at EPCOT.
People were laying in the grass, waiting for the New Year:
Bar set up in France:
Extra snack/foot carts near France:
A temporary stage was set up for MoRockin:
China:
The main fountain stage:
Extra bathrooms were set up (but the ex-Millenium Village was available with no line anytime I stopped by):
Bathroom central (they were also holding a dinner there, Fantasia 2009 for $54.99 per adult):
Guests were in the grass everywhere:
Hats and horns being handed out in the evening:
The tip boards went down some during the day into evening, though the lines were never short for major rides while I was there:
MoRockin:
Illuminations:
Latin dancing at the American Gardens theater:
Italy DJ:
Rose Regale being sold in Italy:
The China stage:
The main fountain stage:
Arriving at Downtown Disney:
I wasn’t finding much of interest until I saw Nova Era there. I hadn’t realized they were playing at Downtown Disney for New Years Eve (and some other dates in December as well). For anyone who doesn’t know who they are, the band played at Epcot a number of years ago.
