June 22nd, 2009 Pixar Luxo Jr. at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios Photos AND Video!
Hi everyone!
On the way back from Clearwater (where I attended an outdoor wedding), I thought I'd not had enough of our nearly 100 degree heat, and stopped to check into Luxo Jr. at Disney's Hollywood Studios. He is not out constantly, so I almost totally missed seeing him! Luxo Jr. had his "officially unofficial" debut today. Read further to see the photos, and click here to see my video (hosted on the JeffLangeDVD site). You can also now find the night versions here!
Luxo Jr. is part of Disney's Living Character Initiative, which included the Muppet Mobile Lab at Epcot nearly 2 years ago, as well as Remy at Chefs De France (the latter has seen some of our highest rated videos on our YouTube channel!)
The shows for Luxo Jr. are on the quarter hour – like 4pm, 4:15, 4;30, 4:45, etc. The show lasts nearly 3 minutes, and it is the same show playing all day until around dusk. At that time, there is a different one – and I'll know more tonight (I'm at Panera Bread getting this update done while waiting to get photos and video for tonights show). The show is not interactive like Remy is, Luxo Jr. comes out from a door (think the clock at Germany) and dances, moves and then heads back inside. The last song played is "You've Got a Friend in Me".
