Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

1/8 Disney’s Honorary VoluntEars Calvacade with Kermit, Miss Piggy and Sweetums

Yesterday we visited the Magic Kingdom, in part to see the new Disney’s Honorary VoluntEars Calvacade. The pre-parade is made up of cast members celebrating volunteerism (or voluntEARism) with a new spin on the “Celebrate You” song, along with two vehicles containing guests who’ve volunteered.  Kermit, Miss Piggy and Sweetums are part of this procession.

We viewed the Disney’s Honorary VoluntEars Calvacade from 3 places.  I videotaped it in Frontierland, and then we ran to Main Street and photographed it from Christmas Tree Point before moving a little to get them coming the other direction.  The weather was perfect for taking photos, overcast with no glare.  Fortunately it was just somewhat chilly, without the sleet and freezing temperatures we experienced in Central Florida today.

It is a cute pre-parade, I don’t care as much for the continuation of the celebration theme but I do like anything that promotes volunteerism (and I love the Muppets!).  Plus the “Celebrate You” song is a fun one.  You can find information on “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” here, and learn how to get a free day to a Disney theme park by giving a little of your time!  We also have over 300 subscribers to our YouTube channel now.
