Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

6/26 Contemporary Bay Lake Tower Top of the World Photos

Hi everyone!

Friends had invited us to join them this past month at the Contemporary Resort Bay Lake Tower Top of the World – it was a spectacular time!

I had done tons of updates as the Bay Lake Tower was being built with hundreds of thousands of views, starting from dirt. Here is one of my earliest updates!  After it was done, I found it hard to get a lot of interior photos of it, I did get some – but I’ve never been in a room, or seen many of the other areas that I’d like to have photographed.  I had pretty much given up on ever seeing more of the resort, and then we were invited to the lounge.  Thank you so much to our friends for the invite!  I brought my camera but wasn’t necessarily expecting to take a lot of photos, and I didn’t bring my tripod for the fireworks – but I think I did okay for handheld.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Bay Lake Tower, it is a Disney Vacation Club portion of the Contemporary Resort.  It is it’s own building, and everything is pretty much locked down. You need to be a DVC member staying at the resort OR a guest of the member, but I think DVC does give tours of the rooms for those who may want to buy into it.

We had a light dinner from the appetizer items they sell – I enjoyed a flatbread:

Photos of the lounge itself will be near the end – first, we went outside to watch the fireworks:

Walking around to where we could look down on the pool area – it looks beautiful at night, and the Electrical Water Pageant was also coming by:

The lounge itself is fairly small, but comfortable.

We left as the lounge was closing:

And on the way down, we looked at the artwork on each floor as well as the fountain in the back of the resort:

Thanks again to our friends for a wonderful evening  – the view from the Bay Lake Tower is gorgeous and the staff in the lounge that night was top-notch.
