Last Tour to Endor Photos at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from August 14th, 2024

We spent 4 days covering the Star Wars Celebration V at the Orlando Convention Center, and had been going back and forth on attending The Last Tour to Endor at Disney’s Hollywood Studios due to the nearly $80.00 after tax cost per person.  We finally decided we could manage it the day before the event.  We had a blast!

One of the big draws of the event was the chance to see “Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom”.  We were told during Star Wars Celebration V that Star Wars actors would be part of the show, which was called a “mash-up” of Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

We were seated in the front of the theater, the VIP area was to our left – actors Jeremy Bulloch, Dee Bradley Baker, Matt Lanter, Warwick Davis, and Ashley Eckstein sat there until they were cast as “extras” in what was billed as a fan film (several park guests were also called up).

 

 

Since we have it fully in video, I’m going to mostly just post images with few words.  The man in the “Han Shot First” t-shirt is a Disney character actor (which most Disney fans will know, but I think he fooled many others!) Actually, at least some of the guests thought this was a real fan film as well, the family behind me said that it was fun but “wouldn’t win any Oscars”.  🙂

We rode Star Tours, and on our way we spotted a Storm Trooper with a light saber which went through him (it was a great costume!):

There was a special, extended length Hyperspace Hoopla – hosted by Snig and Oopla, and featuring a romantically awkward dance between Princess Leia and Luke. We have full video from the front of the crowd (in 3 parts)!

 

 

 

Symphony in the Stars fireworks show featured the music of John Williams.  We have video of it as well!  This wasn’t the best fireworks display I’ve ever seen (and it had a few moments that seemed out of sync), but the one word I’d use to describe it would be “elegant”.

 

We then headed over to the “Star Tours Shutdown”, which ended with the ride appearing to be blown up.  It was neither blown up nor shut down, we even rode it again that night!  I thought this was the weak point of the evening, but those who I know who like explosions enjoyed it.

 

I don’t remember ever sweating as much as I did that night (everyone I know seemed to have felt the same).

We went on Star Tours for one last ride.  I never knew Kermit the Frog was featured in the queue until now:

We were the “Last Tour to Endor” for the night, and many thought that Star Tours was shutting down after our ride.  It ended up being the best Star Tours ride ever, with a lot of excitement.  We have video of it!
