12/27 Grand Floridian Gingerbread House and Decorations, Polynesian Resort, Contemporary Gingerbread

Hi everyone!

We've already posted photos and video from the Grand Floridian gingerbread house final dusting.  Now I'm finally putting up photos that show it open to guests!  We also took the monorail loop a couple of times in the past week to get holiday pictures of the Grand Floridian, Polynesian Resort and Contemporary Resort.

It is tradition for a few weeks before Christmas (maybe starting right after Thanksgiving) for the Grand Floridian to serve chestnuts and a small cup of hot cider to guests at the front of the resort.  We arrived around 4pm in the first Grand Floridian photos and the chestnuts were being handed out, but the cider service had just finished for the day.  There had been a cold snap, and the white plant coverings made it look like the deer were standing/sitting in the snow.  We didn't end up taking photos or video inside on this day since it was just a little too crowded. The greeter shown in the first photos has been there for years and is always quite friendly.

We enjoyed a loop on the monorail one evening and watched bell ringers at the Grand Floridian:

Heading back a couple of days before Christmas, Mickey and Minnie inflatables are seen as we drive through the Magic Kingdom toll booths:
