Easter Day 2011 at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot (Including Easter Pre-Parade), More!
There was no line for Spaceship Earth at around 4pm on Easter Day:
We were meeting friends at America pavilion, and I noticed the new China entertainment (the acrobats left a couple of months ago). I'd read on a couple of websites that this is called a "Lion Dance", so I looked it up online. I actually thought the lion looks like a dragon, which appears to be a common mistake – the big difference is that a lot more performers are needed for a dragon, and just two for the lion. I only caught the last few minutes of the show, but I expect to get back there this week for more photos and a full video. The former acrobats were incredible, definitely a hard act to follow. Yesterday was the first day for the new performers, and they posed for photos after the show.
The German train display has now added Mater for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival (just as he is now in topiary form):
Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny greeted guests at the America pavilion, we have video here!
Easter eggs added to this display:
I wasn't one of the ones who asked this guy if I could take a photo (a lot of people were), but the outfit was quite unique – and he wore Mickey's yellow slipper shoes as well! It didn't look too easy to drink out of the flute with Mickey hands:
We went to see Impressions de France, which is now being shown digitally. I LOVE this film, I always have – and it looks better than ever. I've been to France four times, and twice the trips included Mont St. Michel because we'd seen it in the film. I can't wait to go back to the country (and to see the film again). After the film, we stopped by the Boulangerie Pattisserie for a Napolean and a Chocolate Eclair:
I hope you enjoyed our Easter coverage, and we have something very special that should be posted tomorrow! Thanks to Jeff at JeffLangeDVD for shooting our videos!
