7/28 Bonnet Creek Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Hotels Orlando (near Walt Disney World)

We walked to the Waldorf Astoria through the convention center. I asked about the convention business, and I was told that the Convention Center is not big enough to nearly fill the hotels (just an FYI to anyone who doesn’t like staying in a hotel that is nearly full with conventioneers). I could smell the Waldorf Astoria as we approached, it reminds me of the fresh scent of a spa.

We walked to the lobby, which features the stunning shattered glass artwork of Cassandria Blackmore behind the front desk.  If you stay at either the Hilton or the Waldorf Astoria, you can’t help but appreciate the original art that is scattered throughout the resorts. The centerpiece of the lobby is a beautifully designed clock, in the tradition of the New York Waldorf Astoria (the original clock has been standing since 1931).
