Epcot International Food and Wine Festival 2011 – Photos and Food Reviews

Hi everyone!

We finally made it to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival – we'd really wanted to go for the preview day, but this past weekend was the busiest so far of our year (including the 40th Anniversary of Walt Disney World).

Have you seen our Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party coverage? It's a great time to be at Walt Disney World right now!

The opening display and theme is one of my favorites from recent years (my least favorite being Cities in Wonderland from 2008). This years theme is Passport to a World of Flavors, and we picked up a passport at a Disney Vacation Club booth. We did forget to get it stamped at most of the booths we stopped at, though!

We had one of the weekly guides, and I took a photo of it in front of Spaceship Earth and the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival display. The display has three forms of transportation – a plane, train and boat.

We have video with commentary around the Festival!

The new tip board looks very nice, but I liked the larger words from the old board:

We haven't made it yet to the Festival center:

We liked this Ocean Spray exhibit, called "Discover the Cranberry". I hadn't realized that cranberries grew on a vine and were only harvested from the water. The signs around the exhibit tell the process, and we were also given a sample of Craisins (my first time having them – very tasty!)
