1/1 New Years Eve at Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom NYE Fireworks

We stopped at Disney's Beach Club Resort to look at the gingerbread carousel one last time, and take a break from the craziness of Epcot.

The dance party was happening at the Boardwalk Resort:

For New Year's Eve fireworks and atmosphere, I prefer Disney's Hollywood Studios to any other park. Mulch, Sweat and Shears does a great job at keeping the crowd energized, and the DJ in between their sets did a great job too. The live music is rock, with songs by Def Leppard and KISS included. There was a glitch in the New Years Eve countdown – there wasn't one! Mulch, Sweat and Shears seemed to be waiting for a cue that never happened, and then the fireworks started. The best part about the fireworks presentation is that it happens to live music – and second, the Studios only hosts a couple of fireworks presentations per year, so it's an extra special event.

You can see our video of the Lights! Camera! Happy New Year! fireworks here!

Crowds were dancing out of Disney's Hollywood Studios to the Cha Cha Slide (it was fun seeing so much of the crowd walking forward and taking hops in the process!)

Traffic wasn't bad at all when we left, it only took us an additional 5 – 10 minutes to get home.

I'm more of a homebody when it comes to New Years Eve, but maybe we'll head back into the parks next year! I hope everyone has a wonderful, healthy and prosperous 2012.
