3/3 One More Disney Day at the Magic Kingdom – Mickey and Minnie in Pajamas, Park at Dawn
Hi everyone!
We hadn't necessarily planned to go to One More Disney Day, but decided a couple of days ahead to take the plunge for the evening (we mostly wanted to see Mickey and Minnie in their pajamas!)
The "evening" was to be from 8pm to around 2am, but we ended up staying until 6:30am (and were among the last to leave). I do like seeing dawn breaking over Cinderella Castle! Check out our video of the evening.
Signs were up at the resorts letting guests know about the event:
We had heard all day how slow the Magic Kingdom was, so we were very surprised to see guests pouring in! It was very crowded until early morning.
I was wondering why guests were blocking the way to the bathrooms next to City Hall, it turned out to be the line for Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom! I've never seen this long of a wait. We ended up getting our cards when the line dissolved by 4am.
Some friends of ours wanted to see the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. It actually more fun than usual, there were a lot of enthusiastic Disney fans.
We both bought the event t-shirt:
Lanterns from the film Tangled float in the air during The Magic, The Memories and You! romance segment :
A friend of ours models the ears he was given at 6am. Several of our friends spent the full 24 hours in the park!
We were trying to figure out where and when we could see Mickey and Minnie in their pajamas. I went and asked two managers who were standing together, and I was told they'd not be available until 1:30am inside the Town Square Theater. Just minutes later, we were in Town Square (a little after 10:30am) when we heard the line had opened up for Mickey and Minnie. We ran to the Theater, and were able to get in within 20 minutes. The line stretched to close to 2 hours at times! We were really fortunate.
Since the last time we met Mickey and Minnie in this location, many things have changed. The meet-and-greet opened here about one year ago, we were shown around their room by Mickey and Minnie themselves back then! We have been back many times since, and I like that the attraction keeps getting plussed! The room that holds guests before the meet-and-greet room has new artwork, and cubby holes that include ones for "B. Justice", "W.D. Story" and Mickey! Here are some photos from this new area. I think some of these posters were here a couple of weeks ago, but we had to walk so fast through the room that I have no idea what was there or not!
