Fort Wilderness Campground/Wilderness Lodge

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort To Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Villas Photo Walk 2012

I recommend Fairy Godmother Travel for your Walt Disney World vacation plans. Let them know that Mousesteps sent you!

Here is one of the two deer I did see. If you are from other areas of the country, you’ll notice that the deer in Florida are small!

We are continuing to walk on the path, and there is a road that intersects the path. It is for Cast Member vehicles only, and I have never seen it busy.

There are two ways to walk to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge from where we are. One is to continue direct on this path, and it would bring us out near the Wilderness Lodge bus stop. Instead, we are crossing the street to the right (there are two different crossings, this is the first) to the nature path along the water. We arrive here at 11:51am.

The nature trail is unpaved. There are signs at several points to keep you on track! We will be walking along the water to the Lodge.

We will be turning left here:

Just to show, there is only a left you can take. If you head to the right, you’ll almost immediately be in a Cast Member area.

There was a lot of fog over the water, but you can see the Contemporary Resort main building and Bay Lake Tower from here. The brush is thicker than it used to be, so taking photos across Bay Lake is a bit harder than a few years ago!
