Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

3/10/12 Fantasyland Photo Update – Storybook Circus Now Visible from Fantasyland Train Station!

Hi everyone!

Mousesteps turned 5 years old yesterday – and what did we do to celebrate? We went to the Magic Kingdom and ended up with photos and video of Storybook Circus as seen from the train with the walls down!

For anyone interested in the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, we also posted complete coverage – 320 photos and 2 narrated videos here.

We are starting at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, where through the end of March, resort monorail service is suspended between 11:30am and 6pm. Extra buses and boats will transport guests from the monorail resorts to the Magic Kingdom.

Before we took the train (3 times, the last time due to rain), I took a few photos of Main Street. A friend had just told us that the scrim had issues a few days earlier because of a wind storm (and is still being put back into place).

This was our first view of the new Fantasyland Train Station – it was pretty exciting to see it so close to open now!

We were welcomed with a wave all three times:

The fence is down once past the Fantasyland Train Station. There are so many details to see, and I can’t wait to see them all once the area is opened! It’s pretty amazing to think of all the incarnations that have happened here. I remember when Mickey’s Birthdayland opened – then Mickey’s Starland, Mickey’s Toontown Fair, and now Storybook Circus!

Imagineers wave to us next to the “Wheel of Peril”, which reminds me of the theming inside of Town Square Theater.

The Magic Kingdom has some great weather vanes – like the bat on the Haunted Mansion. Here, it is a train on top of the station:

Toontown Fair signs are now gone along the path – they were there until at least last week.

FastPass times are now being enforced:

The clock tower is gone from the Skyway Station area, and this location is also much more clear of trees.

It won’t be long until a portion of Fantasyland is finally open! I know it’s only been about a year since Mickey’s Toontown Fair closed, but it seems even longer to me. Mousesteps will be bringing you photos and video each step of the way, as we have since the construction started!
