Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier and Elsie Fisher met their alter egos Margo, Edith and Agnes at the Despicable Me Minion Mayhem Grand Opening at Universal Studios Orlando today! We had the opportunity to interview all three, along with Universal Creative's Mike West (we interviewed him last week as well).
Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is set in Gru's House, which was in our view as we took our place at the yellow carpet.
The event was often like a big dance party, as the minions boogied their way down:
Vector took a turn down the yellow carpet, ending in a few familiar moves and some push-ups!
Universal Creative's Mike West answered a couple of questions for us. In addition to the interview from today, we have a YouTube video from last week that goes more into depth about the attraction.
Margo, Edith and Agnes took their turn dancing down the carpet, and were joined by Gru at the end.
Dana Gaier and Elsie Fisher answered our questions (2) that included whether it was much different voicing the attraction versus the movie. Answer? Not really! Elsie Fisher carried a stuffed unicorn like the one in the film.
Miranda Cosgrove soon arrived, and we asked her what it was like to have her voice immortalized in a theme park attraction. She said "It's crazy. I think the coolest thing is that people are going to come every day and have fun. I never thought my voice would be on a ride".
