7/18 Gaylord Palms Resort Announces ICE! Theme – Merry Madagascar – With Vanilla Ice Appearance

This morning, the Gaylord Palms Resort announced the theme for their 2012 ICE! exhibit, Merry Madagascar! With appearances by Alex, King Julien XIII, Gloria and Mort, the event also included another Ice – Vanilla Ice, singing his hit song from the late 1980's, "Ice, Ice, Baby" as kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs and Give Kids the World enjoyed the new Cypress Springs Family Fun Water Park.

ICE! is one of our favorite holiday traditions, with 20,000 square feet of chilly fun! Two million pounds of ice is carved to create a beautiful walk-through exhibit that includes 30 foot ice slides. Gaylord Palms also offers wonderful live Christmas entertainment, and 2 million lights! ICE! at Gaylord Palms will be held from November 10th, 2012 – January 1st, 2013.

Arriving to the Gaylord Palms Resort today, we found Shrek, Fiona and Gingy greeting guests. Last year's ICE! exhibit was themed to Shrek the Halls. (Check out our coverage of 2011's ICE! Shrek the Halls here).

 

 

The Cypress Springs Family Fun Water Park includes a huge screen for films, and we enjoyed live Christmas music before the main event.
