Aquatica celebrated it’s 5th birthday with animal ambassadors, an array of prizes, and a themed cake! I was there when Aquatica opened for an industry event and shared several hundred photos from that day. There have been some changes since then, including the addition of the water coaster Omaka Rocka in 2010. Guests on Friday braved cooler temperatures to be part of the fun.
Aquatica did a great job in involving park guests in their 5th anniversary celebration, with a DJ, cake with guests on water tubes, and quite a few raffle prizes! Aquatica guests won free tickets, cabana rentals, gift bags and more. And one of the biggest draws to SeaWorld parks, including Aquatica, is the animal interactions. This day was no different!
Vice President Bryan Nadeau spoke briefly, saying that “30 of the original openers” were still working at Aquatica, and expressing appreciation to all the team members and guests who visit the park. Aquatica Orlando is the first Aquatica water park, with San Antonio celebrating one year. San Diego will be opening their own park this summer.

Congratulations to Aquatica on 5 years! It's my favorite water park (and Roa's Rapids is my favorite water park attraction).
