In Mousesteps Weekly #127, we talk about Holidays Around the World!

We begin with the topiaries this year, which include Mickey and Minnie, Stitch, Flower, Bamby, Pluto and Goofy.

Next, we check out Joyful! and then begin around World Showcase. The Holiday Voyageurs are back, with some Off Kilter members (Off Kilter is no longer playing at Epcot). Père Noël is again in France, telling the story of Babette. The Morocco storyteller has a new performance and story this year, replacing the one from previous years. China and Mexico also have new storytellers. The first are the Lion Dancers in China, who put on quite a show (they replace the Monkey King)! Not to be outdone, Mariache Cobre lead a song and dance holiday storytelling performance, with a Mexico hat dance and even a pinata for the kids to try to open!

We then head to the Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel, where the large tree is lit by vacationing Santa and Mrs. Claus on select nights. They also greet guests in their festive hut! Don’t miss the holiday lighting on the Dolphin causeway.

Over at the Swan hotel, the life size chocolate Santa and Nutcracker display is worth a stop!

We walk back to Epcot for the Candlelight Processional, which was narrated by Jodi Benson. Different celebrity narrators are offered throughout the season, and the Christmas story is told with narration and beautiful music provided by Cast Member and high school choirs, along with the Voices of Liberty and orchestra.

The holiday tag to Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is updated for this year. Walter Cronkite no longer is part of it, and the pyro has changed as well. It is still a great way to end a day at Epcot!

Recorded 12/04/14 Featuring Commentary from Denise Preskitt and Jeff Lange.
