In Mousesteps Weekly #135, we talk about these topics:

The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, where quite a bit is going on! A new fence has been added to the front of the Main Street Train Station to keep guests out of the grass. Next, we head to the Harmony Barber Shop, which closes as of February 16th for a renovation that will last 6 or so weeks.

Next, we check out the hub progress. The Crystal Palace side looks close to finished, though we don’t know of the date the hub will be open to guests.

The Tomorrowland Arcade that used to be next to Space Mountain has closed permanently. Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid is temporary closed, for another couple of weeks.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, the Tree of Life has expanded out into “roots”, offering an up-close view of new carvings that include an elephant and an alligator. We look at other construction, including the upcoming Starbucks location before heading to Yak & Yeti for lunch. Yak & Yeti is owned by Landry’s, which has a great birthday deal that can be used at Yak & Yet table servicei. It is worth buying the Landry’s card!

Next, we head to Disney’s Polynesian Resort to see the bungalow and volcano pool progress. The 1st phase of the DVC project opens April 1st.

We head to Epcot, where the flower quilt has been planted for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival!

Last, we talk about the Disney Cruise Line, which just announced a series of Star Wars themed cruises on the Disney Fantasy in early 2016. Not long ago, Disney announced “Frozen” themed cruises in Norway.

Recorded 02/15/14 Featuring Commentary from Denise Preskitt and Jeff Lange.
