Four Seasons Resort Orlando Welcomes Cleveland & Heath for March 6th, 2015 Guest Chef Dinner
Hi everyone!
The Four Seasons Resort Orlando recently announced six special dinner events – at least one each month through June. This week, on March 6th, guests chefs Jenny Cleveland and Ed Heath – who is a 2015 James Beard Award nominee – will tantalize taste buds with PB&G Chef Gerald Sombright at a dinner that will include six courses and a cocktails & hors d’oeuvres reception. The guests chefs are from from Cleveland-Heath restaurant of Edwardsville, Illinois. The cost is just $75.00 – that includes tax and gratuity – and a beer or wine pairing can be added for a nominal charge.
It is hard to believe the Four Seasons Resort Orlando opened just seven months ago! We have been fortunate to have been invited to media events that included dining at Capa restaurant, which is a one-of-a-kind experience with tremendous rooftop views of Walt Disney World. But we’ve also enjoyed dining on our own, with our most popular Four Seasons Resort Orlando dining article being about the Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and his Pals. There really is something for everyone, from gelato at Lickety-Split to the Porterhouse for Two at Capa. But the events over the next few months bring dining at the resort to a new level.
This week’s dinner event is located at PB&G, which stands for Pool Bar & Grill. Tucked in between the adult pool and family pool with views of lush wetlands, PB&G offers southern cooking with a twist. We’ve dined here a few times, including during Super Bowl Sunday. It will be a lovely setting for this event.
After the cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, 6 courses will be presented. Here is the menu with optional pairings. Beer or wine can be added, $25.00 for the beer or $35.00 for the wine pairing. Cigar City is a very popular local Tampa brewery – we’ve attended a media event for them and toured the brewery. I am not as familiar with Funky Buddha, but they are also pretty local (Boca Raton). The Funky Buddha More Moro Blood Orange IPA gets a very high rating from Beer Advocate (91 out of 100), and appears to be a seasonal product, and Funky Buddha Last Snow Coconut Coffee Porter rates even higher. For $25.00, there are 6 top line beers paired. The wines also are all very well regarded.
