Fort Wilderness – Part III, Deer and Swamp Walk

This is it for now for FW!

I wanted to get some more wildlife photos (finally, some deer!) and I also did the Swamp Walk. I was told by a man who spends a lot of time staying at the campground that the Swamp Walk is being dismantled and employees try to get guests out of there during the day. I wish I’d found this lovely area before!

I’d first heard about the Swamp Walk (though I’d seen a sign for it, I just had no idea I’d not done it!) on the DIS Boards with this thread.

From what I’ve seen of the photos on that thread, I do think part of the walk has been taken down.

I’m back on the Wilderness Lodge trail – I actually doubled back when someone mentioned seeing 4 deer a half mile back. 🙂 Then the carriage ride passed by me (no guests in it yet).
