Nick Wilde & Judy Hopps from “Zootopia” Join Daisy Duck & Azalea Trail Maids in Easter Pre-Parade 2016 at Magic Kingdom
Nick Wilde & Judy Hopps from Zootopia joined in the fun this weekend as part of the Magic Kingdom Easter pre-parade, joining the Azalea Trail Maids, Daisy Duck, Thumper and other characters and performers. The characters in the gazebo have changed through the years the parade has run. Nick & Judy were the only characters on it for 2016, with Thumper and Miss Bunny walking ahead of them. Nick & Judy made their debut in Move It!, Shake It!, Dance & Play It! yesterday at the Magic Kingdom, and I was wondering if we’d see Judy in the Easter parade (I was surprised that it ended up being the duo).

Easter day (at least in the early daytime) is not traditionally as crowded in the parks as other holidays, and today was no exception.
The pre-parade kicked off before the Festival of Fantasy parade, beginning in Frontierland before making its way down Main Street and into Town Square.
Here is our video, and then check out the photos below!
The Fantasia ostriches and hippos are back again this year.

These characters were a welcome addition several years ago.

Daisy Duck always makes a perfect Azalea Trail Maid!

The Azalea Trail Maids are a group of 50 high school seniors representing Mobile, Alabama. They are always such a vibrant addition to the parade.

This year, these performers were meeting before Easter weekend at the hub.

Nick and Judy have been very anticipated at the Disney parks since before Zootopia premiered.
I like the bunny weathervane.
Nick and Judy made a terrific addition to the parade this year.

While they haven’t always been in the pre-parade, these costumes were used in the 90s during the Easter parades.
Clara Cluck is in the last float.
And while Rabbit was not in the pre-parade this year, he did meet him Town Square (replacing Stitch for a day…Stitch replaced Marie yesterday as the regular meet and greet character in this location).
The pre-parade is always a lot of fun to watch! Happy Easter!
