Disney's Boardwalk Resort

Epcot to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Photo Walk Via the Walt Disney World BoardWalk 2017 w/140 Photos

Benches along Disney’s BoardWalk have the name.

Up ahead is the Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls.

A seagull looks on.

I’ve only been to special daytime events at the Atlantic Dance Hall, never at night for the evening dance parties (over 21).

The Atlantic Dance Hall is a quick walk to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels.

We are waking past Jellyrolls at 12:44 p.m., this is 9 minutes after leaving the Epcot International Gateway.

Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar, it does have a cover charge. It has been almost 20 years since I’ve visited here as well.

We will be turning to the left to head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We are walking to the left.

There is a directional sign for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin and the Walt Disney World Yacht & Beach Resorts. We are turning left before the sign. Fantasia Gardens mini-golf is also within easy walking distance from here, past the Swan and Dolphin.

We are making the left turn and then will be walking along the water.

This is a pretty view of the Dolphin.

We pass a sign that mentions Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Walt Disney World BoardWalk Resort is on the left hand side for quite a bit of the walk.

There is a driveway to the left that looks like a walking path, but cars and trucks use it pretty often.

A Friendship Boat is about to pass on the right hand side.

Looking back at the Friendship Boat. While I’ve walked this path hundreds of times, I’ve only taken the boats a handful of times. The boats make several stops (Swan & Dolphin, Yacht & Beach and Boardwalk) before arriving at Epcot – or Disney’s Hollywood Studios if going the other direction. Guests who don’t want to walk the whole way can take the boat to the BoardWalk area and then enjoy a shorter walk.

We have a pretty straight walk from here.

Disney’s BoardWalk Resort on the left.

We are passing the Walt Disney World Swan on the right.

The Luna Park pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is here. We pass it at 12:47 p.m. This is 12 minutes into the walk and about halfway to Disney’s Hollywood Studios from Epcot.

We continue walking along the path.

Another Friendship Boat floats by.

There is a Disney Vacation Club oak planted here from last Earth Day (2016).

This is the small oak tree.

We are still walking alongside the BoardWalk Resort.

This building is the BoardWalk Community Hall.

We are coming to the end of the buildings and then will be passing the tennis courts.

Tennis courts are coming into view on the left.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios directional sign.

There is a bend in the path here.

We walk past the tennis courts at 12:51 p.m.

There is a bridge ahead.

We are walking under the bridge. During the time I was taking photos, there weren’t many guests on the path – but usually there are (I passed a lot of guests walking back and forth over the two hours I was working on this, just not while photographing).

We walk under the bridge at 12:53 p.m.

We are on the final stretch to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

A Friendship Boat heads our way, and construction cranes can be seen (preparing the upcoming Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land).

We are almost at one of my favorite locations for Tower of Terror photos.

The Tower of Terror can be seen coming up on the right.

Guests were fishing from the boat on the left.

It was a very gorgeous day for Tower of Terror photos!

On the left is the parking lot for Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Two ducks swim in the water.

They also wanted food.

The Tower of Terror reflected in the water.

We are nearing the end of the path.

And the views of Tower of Terror continue. There are so many great angles out here, and I’ve watched fireworks many times from this location.

A closer look at the Tower of Terror.

We are finishing out the path.

And the walkway leads to a sidewalk for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we are turning right.

We keep walking forward.

The parking lot is to the left.

The Tower of Terror is to the right.

The Friendship Boat launch is on the right in this photo.

We are continuing straight here.

I always like these themed Coca-Cola machines.

There is a welcome sign for Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Mickey and Minnie are the current topiaries here. In the past there has been Sorcerer Mickey, Elsa & Anna, and Lightning McQueen. It was nice to see a change.

We arrived to this area outside Disney’s Hollywood Studios at 1:00 p.m. It took me 25 minutes to walk between the two parks without stopping. It can be more or less depending on walking speed, I am not a particularly fast walker.

Mickey and Minnie in front of Disney’s Hollywood Studios entrance.

The security to enter the park is just beyond the topiary display.

I didn’t go through security to get the entrance sign for this visit, I will just leave you here! This is probably the walk I’ve done on property more than any other – not only just to get between parks, but for exercise as well. It is a gorgeous walk. For those looking to spend a lot of time at Epcot for festivals, you really can’t beat staying at any of the resorts around the Boardwalk – I like the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin quite a lot, even though they aren’t owned by Disney. And the bonus is you have easy access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well.

I made my way back to Epcot at this point to time the walk. This is the sign you’ll want to find if walking back.

We will be posting another photo walk within a couple of weeks!
