Disney Skyliner Reopens at Walt Disney World (Photos)

Hi everyone!

The Disney Skyliner reopened today after just over a week closed following the much-reported incident on October 5th. We were already in the area for an event, and headed over to the gondola system to ride. The hours for the Disney Skyliner are currently 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m., except for:

  • Oct. 16:  The Disney Hollywood Studios line will be closed while the other two lines will be available from 1 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 17-18: All lines will be open from 1 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Here are some photos from today!

We took the Disney Skyliner from Epcot to Disney’s Art of Animation/Pop Century station.

There is a variety of signage.

Disney Skyliner hours.

The Disney Skyliner had been testing since the evening after the incident (which occured at Disney’s Riviera Resort station).

Just in case of a stop or delay, we made sure to stop at the restroom first and had water with us.

Pluto and Winnie the Pooh in the station.

We headed toward Disney’s Caribbean Resort (where we switched to the Pop/AOA line) from the International Gateway.

Looking down at the construction in France. Ratatouille opens next summer!

One of my favorite views is Spaceship Earth with the Eiffel Tower.

Disney’s Riviera Resort is in the distance.

And at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, there were signs to let guests know the Disney Skyliner is open.

It is nice to have the Disney Skyliner open again and I hope it runs smoothly from here on out.
