Regal Eagle Smokehouse Coming to Epcot is Inspired by Sam Eagle – Including on Exclusive Merchandise

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue will be opening soon at the American Adventure pavilion in Epcot. It will be a fast-casual (quick service) restaurant just as Liberty Inn prior to it was. And Disney announced yesterday that the “Eagle” part of Regal Eagle takes its name from patriotic Muppet Sam Eagle.

Disney says of the restaurant, Regal Eagle Smokehouse will be the site for “Sam’s Centennial Cook-Off: A Salute to All Cook-Offs but Mostly Barbecue.” Guests will be the beneficiaries of this contest – described as “a competition fit for all patriots and pit masters” – as it brings in a variety of classic backyard barbecue selections from across the country to vie for Sam’s top honor (for more details on the menu, click here).

Disney also says that there will be exclusive merchandise for this location.

There is no date given yet for Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue to open, except “later this winter”. You can find more information about the barbecue that will be served here.
