Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Photo Walk Including Disney’s Riviera Resort from February, 2020 (230+ Photos)

Continued from page 2

The sidewalk leads under the bridge or over, as earlier.

To the right is the walkway that leads over the road.

I like seeing the smiling poles and walking under the road.

We are walking back under the bridge to Barbados.

One last look at one of the two poles. These have been here since I first did my photo walk in 2007 and they are always fun to see.

We are heading toward Barbados and then back to Old Port Royale with a quick stop at Caribbean Cay.

We are heading to the left.

Signage shows the way to Barbados, Old Port Royale and Martinique.

Barbados is ahead.

The pool for the village is to the right.

Each village pool has a similar entry but in a different color.

I mentioned earlier that this used to be Trinidad North.

Disney Skyliner gondolas can be seen in the distance.

Jamaica is now across the water.

Signs continue to point the way.

As we are walking, Old Port Royale is about to come into view. We arrive at Building 31 at 9:59 a.m.

The Fuentes del Morro pool area can be seen.

I don’t notice seating areas in all the villages and they may be there, but this looks nice to the right.

Old Port Royale is ahead, with Martinique next and then Jamaica and Aruba over the bridge.

There are chairs and hammocks to the left.

Fuentes del Morro Pool is ahead, Caribbean Cay is toward the left as we walk along the pool and Barefoot Bay.

There is a Pirate Cruise that can be booked for kids.

This walkway allows for some nice views of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

The Fuentes del Morro Pool is to the right.

Caribbean Cay can be seen to the left.

Wildlife including birds and turtles live here.

Two turtles sun themselves.

Caribbean Cay will be over this bridge, which also takes guests to the Disney Skyliner, Jamaica and Aruba.

Ahead of us leads to Old Port Royale.

I am making an untimed stop in Caribbean Cay. This is a nice area that includes a playground for kids.

I was asked by a guest while photographing the walk about where Caribbean Cay was located (and if it was worth a visit).

There is a sign here saying it is open from sunrise to sunset.

There are hammocks.

It is worth at least a walk-through, if not a stop for the hammocks.

A playground can be seen here.

The playground includes a slide.

There are some fun sculptures here too.

And this is another look at the playground from a different angle.

We are walking out of Caribbean Cay.

And are heading back down the path to Old Port Royale.

The pool is on the right.

Banana Cabana offers a larger bar experience than the previous incarnation.

The decor is fun too.

This is the current menu for Banana Cabana.

Sebastian’s Bistro replaced Shutters as the table service restaurant for the resort. It is in a new building that was added in 2018. The food is good and reasonably priced for table service.

Here is a look at the current menu.

The lighthouse is ahead.

There is a refillable mug fountain here.

And we are back at the main building.

We arrive here at 10:02 a.m., 41 minutes after we left. It was about a 2 mile walk. Prior to the refurbishment, this used to have a Centertown sign.

I’m showing a few more photos inside the main building. The lobby was less crowded than when I arrived.

There is plenty of seating.

Centertown Market is the food court area.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served here. When Sebastian’s Bistro first opened, it served lunch but now Centertown Market does and Sebastian’s Bistro is dinner only.

The Calypso Trading Post is next to the Grab N Go. There are decent food options at the resort now, and the Calypso Trading Post has chips, wine, beer, etc.

This is a quick look in the Grab N Go, which also includes bottled drinks as well as pastries and such.

Looking down toward the food court seating area.

And that is the end of the photo walk! I then headed out to Epcot via the station at Disney’s Riviera Resort.

The next photo walk will be either Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort with Gran Destino Tower or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – those are my next two planned.
