Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

TRON Coaster Construction Update at the Magic Kingdom from September 8th, 2020 (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

We were at the Magic Kingdom today (I already posted an update for the Grand Floridian Walkway) and I have some photos from the TRON coaster construction (TRON Lightcycle Power Run). Since last week, the track pieces here from the Walt Disney World Railroad Fantasyland Station have been removed as they are being replaced. I look forward to the train coming back and I have a few photos of this area in the article. Here are the pictures and video from today!

None of my photos are from riding any attractions today, but I still have several good angles.

Here is our video:

Here is a look at pieces of the canopy.

The TRON sign.

Here are a few photos from the Railroad work.

And more TRON from the Goofy’s Barnstormer area.

And as we walk around Tomorrowland, some more photos.

The People Mover opening has apparently been extended until the end of November, I will be glad to have it back whenever it happens.

Some of the canopy can be seen here beyond the People Mover.

The People Mover, Tomorrowland Speedway and a glimpse of the canopy in one photo.

There is no date given for the completion of TRON, originally it was scheduled to be open for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary next year. A lot has changed this year so we’ll see how projects progress. And we will be back at the Magic Kingdom in a week and I’ll post more photos if anything changes. We will be focused more on the Halloween offerings that begin that day.
