Disney’s Riviera Resort Celebrates First Anniversary with Special “Joyeux Anniversaire” Dessert

Hi everyone!

We stopped at Disney’s Riviera Resort today to look at Christmas decorations and our timing both encompassed the first anniversary as well as a stop by Disney characters Goofy and Pluto. The resort offered a special profiterole dessert for the anniversary.

There were “Happy Anniversary” balloons, including Ariel.

Another Disney balloon included Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse.

There is a “Joyeux Anniversaire Riviera” profiterole decoration – I didn’t think about it being real, but it may have been.

The smaller dessert was in the case.

“Joyeux Anniversaire” is on the dessert, which was delicious – some dense chocolate and then cream puffs with chocolate cream that had a coffee flavor.

We were sitting where Goofy is in this photo, finishing up our dessert when we saw Pluto and Goofy arrive. Goofy took our place after we left. This is part of the Caravanning ‘Round the World character experience and I have more photos of it here.

We were there when Disney’s Riviera Resort opened last year, and also stayed earlier this year as part of a media group. The location is fantastic for visiting Epcot via the Disney Skyliner.
