‘Olu Mel Now Meeting at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

The Disney Parks Blog has announced that ‘Olu Mel, a Disney Friend of Duffy is now meeeting at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii! He made his character meet and greet debut at Shanghai Disneyland Resort last September.

Nikki Moreno says on the Disney Parks Blog, Mel is short for “melody,” and ‘Olu Mel got this nickname from Duffy and ShellieMay after they heard his beautiful singing. He finds inspiration for his songs in the rhythm of nature, including the gentle trade winds of Hawai‘i, rolling sounds of waves and the patter of tropical rain on leaves. When he plays, he puts his whole heart into the song, knowing his friends will feel the love in every note.  

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Stitch are some of the other characters you may be able to meet at Aulani Resort.

‘Olu Mel merchandise can be found at Aulani Resort (we even have some items currently here at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World). There will be a special Tori Richards aloha print that will be available only at Aulani Resort.
