Moana was added this past week to the newly titled Magic Kingdom Cavalcade, which had been the Fantasyland Friends Cavalcade until about week ago. We last saw the Fantasyland Friends Cavalcade at that time, which then included Gaston, Pooh and Tigger. There has been some shifting of characters and also the addition of Mulan to the Magic Kingdom character lineup, all which we’ll be writing about through the coming days. Here is a look at Moana and the rest of the Magic Kingdom Cavalcade from yesterday!
Aladdin, Alice. Peter Pan and Mary Poppins are still part of this cavalcade.
Alice waves with Moana behind her.
Aladdin, Alice, Moana, Mary Poppins and Peter Pan line up on top of the train station. The various character cavalcades, Dapper Dans and Pooh & Friends greet guests below from up here.
We haven’t seen Moana in the Magic Kingdom in over a year.
During these distanced meets, the characters talk to and wave at guests from above. The distanced greets have been in effect since the parks reopened last July and have been really popular.
Later we caught the Magic Kingdom Cavalcade. Moana has taken over the top spot of the float (previously Winnie the Pooh was here).
Here is our video of the Magic Kingdom Cavalcade.
Cinderella Castle can be seen in the background as it receives its royal makeover for the 50th anniversary.
Peter Pan and Alice are still located at the front of the float.
Moana waves to guests from above the sign that now says “Magic Kingdom Cavalcade!”.
The float moves around Town Square.
Mary Poppins and Aladdin are on the back of the float as they have been in the Fantasyland Friends Cavalcade.
It is nice to see Moana back in the Magic Kingdom! The various cavalcades run through the park throughout the day and I’m not sure what days the Magic Kingdom Cavalcade currently has off. I’ll post that when I find out.
