Disney Reveals More About the Book “A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of The Most Magical Place on Earth”

Hi everyone!

A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of The Most Magical Place on Earth is releasing next week – September 28th, 2021 and co-author Tim O’Day wrote a post today on the Disney Parks Blog to talk about the creative process behind crafting the coffee table book (320 pages!). I am looking forward to reviewing this one.

The book is being published just in time for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” celebrating 50 years of Walt Disney World as it kicks off on October 1st, 2021 for 18 months.

Authors O’Day, Kevin Kern and Steven Vagnini all have a lengthy history of visiting Walt Disney World and a passion for the parks. Tim says in the post, We really wanted to create the most comprehensive book yet written on Walt Disney World and I believe we’ve done that.” Steven says that one of the “most fun sections of the book” is about the Disney family’s roots in Florida.

There are essays in the book from the first Walt Disney World Ambassador, Debby Dane Brown as well as Disney Legend Dick Nunis and Roy Patrick Disney. Tim says there will also be “rarely seen visuals and new information”.

The Disney Parks Blog article reveals a lot more about this book, which I’ve been looking forward to for months – as well as memories from the authors.

I have been visiting Walt Disney World for 44 years now and look forward to reliving history and also learning new aspects about the parks I didn’t know.

A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of The Most Magical Place on Earth has been available for preorder and releases Tuesday.
