Disney Ambassador alumni are now being recognized for their service to the Walt Disney Company with a Disney Ambassador alumni name tag. The new name tag is gold, and the Disney Parks Blog says that the name tag pays homage to the pin that Disney Ambassadors wear during their time in that role. The name tag includes the year(s) that the Cast Member was a Disney Ambassador.
From Disney: “Additional inspiration for the shape of the name tag and blue coloring was taken from Walt Disney’s Disneyland employee badge #1, worn briefly during Disneyland’s opening day rehearsal in 1955 and seen on television in The Disneyland Tenth Anniversary Show in 1965.”
Disney Ambassadors Stephen Lim and Marilyn West had a longer stint, from 2019-2021.
I am glad to see Disney Ambassadors (we are friends with several from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris) receiving continuing recognition for their Disney Ambassador role. You can read the thoughts of some of the Disney Ambassadors about receiving their name tag here.
