Surprise Meet & Greet with 9 Disney Characters at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

We were at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort yesterday when 9 Disney characters – some rare – appeared for a surprise meet and greet (it may have happened more than once on this day). The meet and greet is similar to what we see at EPCOT occasionally, with a random group of characters appearing in a location for a short meet and greet opportunity. Here are photos and video from yesterday!

First up, our video.

The characters each had very short lines (sometimes none at all). I liked this angle for Mickey with the familiar lobby design.

Donald and Pluto were meeting near the Ink & Paint gift shop.

Here is Pluto on the other side.

Max was there but not Goofy.

Foulfellow hid behind his cape.

And then he posed for another photo.

Gideon is next. There were a number of characters we don’t see often unless they are in this style meet and greet.

Rafiki was on the other side of the lobby.

Smee.

Baloo is up next, the last character we met. In the 15 – 20 minutes we were able to meet all of them and had more time left over. This type of surprise meet and greet is a fun treat for guests. I haven’t personally seen it happen at a resort before, mostly at EPCOT.

It was good to see the characters at a Disney’s Art of Animation Resort!
