Asha from the upcoming Disney film “Wish” debuted at EPCOT today for a meet and greet with guests! She is located at the gazebo near the Mexico pavilion in World Showcase (where we’ve met Duffy, Daisy, Pluto and more in past years).
“Wish” is an animated musical comedy that will release into U.S. theaters on November 22nd. I would expect her meet and greet will then become VERY popular, so this is a great time to see her in person.
Here are photos and video from today! First up, our video.
Asha was meeting intermittently between 9:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. today. Check the app for exact times. We arrived about 25 minutes prior to her arrival and were first in line, with enough guests to fill the queue soon behind us.
Her gazebo is decorated, themed to the film.
Asha arrived, waving to guests.
She walked up the path to the meet and greet location.
Asha had a lot to say, but don’t expect her to talk specifically about her story (past what is known) until after the film opens.
Disney says about “Wish”,
In “Wish,” Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
It was a surprise to find out this morning that Asha was meeting! We are looking forward to seeing the film and learning more about the story and characters for “Wish” later this month.
