Stormalong Bay Refurbishment Update from January 27, 2025

Hi everyone!

We have another Stormalong Bay refurbishment update to share. Stormalong Bay is the 3-acre water park at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts, which closed earlier this month with a scheduled reopening of June 2025.

This is a lengthy refurbishment for the very popular pool area, which also includes Shipwreck Pool and the slide. Our last photo update (with video) was last week. Here are photos from yesterday!

There is a tent set up from across where some of the work is taking place.

A green fence is at this entrance to Stormalong Bay.

Signage can be seen for the refurbishment around the complex.

While a lot of sand has been removed, there are still areas that have water as well.

I forgot to mention previously that Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill is also scheduled to be closed through June 2025.

From Disney’s Yacht Club, you can see that a lot of workers were on hand.

I was walking from Disney’s Yacht Club to Disney’s Beach Club.

The iconic windmill is in frame. Water fills this area.

Plants are against the wall, but not blocking the view of the construction.

The tent that covered the jacuzzi tubs was gone.

More pavement has been removed here.

Not as much work has been going on at the side of Disney’s Beach Club Resort, but there has been some.

Pavement was being hauled out.

There is no exact date for Stormalong Bay to reopen. We will continue to post updates over the coming months and will let you know when an opening date has been announced.
