Disney’s Polynesian Resort Construction Update Including Bungalow Roofs, March 2014 w/ Lobby Waterfall Photos

Hi everyone!

We wanted to share some photos and video from Disney’s Polynesian Resort! The Tikiman Pages has said that the lobby waterfall may be walled up any day, so we stopped by for photos of the waterfall and outside Disney Vacation Club construction.

Follow Mousesteps on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and Instagram! We will talk about Disney’s Polynesian Resort on this week’s Mousesteps Weekly Show.

On our walk from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, this section of walkway to Disney’s Polynesian Resort was walled off.

It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve visited Disney’s Polynesian Resort, we both couldn’t believe how fast construction has progressed since our last visit!

Bungalows are being added where the old Sunset Point area was, and the bungalow roofs are already being constructed.

This is a look at the construction in view of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

And looking toward the ferryboat dock.

Here is our video of the construction and some of the waterfall.

It was nice to see the waterfall again, we both have visited Disney’s Polynesian Resort since the 70’s and will miss it. We were told there would be another water feature, so hopefully that is the case.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort is my favorite resort on property – I hope it stays that way, I am holding my breath to see how it turns out! Watch the Tikiman’s pages for up-to-date information on what is happening (including vhttp://www.tikimanpages.com/poly/olcano pool closure, Captain Cook’s temporary move and more).
