Halloween Decorations at Magic Kingdom – First Look 2014

Hi everyone!

Halloween decorations began appearing today at the Magic Kingdom! This will be our 8th year covering Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, it is hard to believe that the first Party is just one week from today (September 1st). Not everything is yet up, but garland and pumpkins now adorn Main Street, the hub and Town Square.

The Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party sign no longer mentions dates on the sign out front (I think that ended last year). Check out 150 photos of the party from last year here!

While there are no decorations yet (nor has Mickey changed) in front of the Main Street Railroad Station, there is garland and pumpkins leading guests inside the Magic Kingdom.

There are no banners yet, but those should come soon. We will see this week what further decorations show up! The scarecrows are not yet out in Town Square, nor the sculptures in the hub.

Some of my favorite yearly pumpkins are up here! There are pumpkins that are just standard on Main Street, but some are themed to the building they rest on. In this case, one points to the restrooms around the corner. Another is a dalmation.

And there is a fire hydrant as well!

Here are some close-up photos of these pumpkins.

Above the Harmony Barber Shop, a barbershop trio sings (instead of a quartet).

The Dapper Dans enterained the crowd.

The Confectionery is decked out in the windows for Halloween.

Daisy is ready for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Huey, Dewey and Louie are also in the Party outfit.

Here is our video of the decorations, and then we have another 50 or so photos to look at.

Scrooge McDuck is covered by candy and decorations.

Halloween cookies.

It is hard to believe that Halloween is at Walt Disney World already, but I always look forward to the season.

Mickey Mouse is dressed in his Halloween finest in these Halloween display.

Chip peeks out of a pumpkin.

Donald, Goofy and Pluto are dressed for the holiday!

This display is in the Emporium. They always are dressed for Christmas as well.

A plush Minnie Mouse wears a Halloween dress (the dress is one that is for sale for kids).

Minnie is also in a Main Street window display.

The Main Street Cinema has another of my favorite pumpkins, the Mickey Mouse film strip. There are some pumpkins we didn’t see today, hopefully they will be added! But every year, it is fun to look for them.

I don’t remember these decorations from previous years.

The Watch shop has a pumpkin with…a watch!

And the jewelry store always features a pumpkin with a ring.

Okay, not my favorite – but an interesting one. 🙂

Pumpkins and garland can be found down Center Street.

In this “Music & Dance Lessons” window, the pumpkin has a musical note.

Here are a couple of more photos. We don’t show all the pumpkins or all the garland here, that would be another 100 photos or so!

Roy E. Disney loved sailing, and the pumpkins in his window are nautical themed.

And in a different window, a cat.

Jeff poses with streetmosphere – it was really a great couple of hours at the Magic Kingdom!

Pumpkins with Cinderella Castle in view.

This area should have statues soon.

Timothy Mouse with a pumpkin in the background.

Casey’s Corner always has quite a few pumpkins.

This is a peanut pumpkin.

And a hot dog.

Over at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, pumpkins depict ice cream.

This one is melting.

And back in Town Square, this location next to City Hall is decorated as well with wreaths and pumpkins.

Town Square Theater.

See Ya Real Soon!

We look forward to bringing you much more of Halloween (including Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party) in the next week!

Will you be visiting Walt Disney World during Halloween time this year?
