5/30 Phineas and Ferb Meet & Play – Opening Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It was a busy day for us yesterday, but we made time to see the new Phineas and Ferb Meet & Play at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is a hybrid between a traditional character meet & greet and the Tangled Play & Greet at the Magic Kingdom.

We were told that the Tangled version at the Magic Kingdom was more limiting than Disney wanted for the Phineas and Ferb Meet & Play, so they came up with a way that guests could have fun and meet the characters at the same time. If you've not done the Tangled Play & Greet, a small number of guests are brought into the Fairytale Garden, where the children color and then dance around the table with Flynn and Rapunzel. After that, everyone lines up for pictures. It's terrific, but can be hard to get into. For Phineas and Ferb's Meet & Play, everyone gets in line – and then every hour or so, Cletus Filmore (director of the "movie" being made) engages the guests in some fun. It's not the same each time, I was there for 3 hours and each segment was unique.

The line was long much of the day, I waited over a half hour the first time – less the second. I expect as guests find out about this new attraction, the lines will get much longer.
